Estimation Explorations

This fascinating book contains a collection of exciting hands-on activities which have students thinking, writing and talking about estimation. These classroom tested activities cover many math concepts, which include number, measurement, geometry, probability, logic, and patterns. Students also practice valuable mathematical skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, both standard and non-standard measurement, fractions and percents. Guidelines to develop student’s writing about and discussing their strategies for solving these estimation activities are provided.
