The Math Center Lesson Plans provide teachers with a basic lesson plan in all math concept areas that brings the ideals of the Framework into the classroom quickly.

All four books:

  • have been written with a linear and spatial approach, accommodating both the spatial and linear learners (be it teachers or students)

  • contain actual lesson plans with emphasis on approaching each activity though the concrete, representational and then to the abstract using Zolten Dienes “Play, Becoming Aware, and Practice stages.

  • have been teacher tested for over 20 years, with extensive research preceding the creation of any original activity

  • contain a “Tool Kits, which are filled with actual games,

  • contain a complete and extensive explanation of the different Learning Styles in mathematics, with examples of both learning styles and which activity to do with each type of learner.






T-9010: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division

Lesson plans for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are included. The multi-sensory approach is packaged with step-by-step hands-on activities using manipulatives as the basis.


T-9015: Fractions, Decimals and Percent

These Lesson Plans contain actual lesson plans in fractions,decimals, and percent. In addition, a “Tool Kit provides games and game boards needed for many of the activities listed in Lesson Plans. Ways to use essential manipulatives such as fraction tiles and base ten blocks are explained in much detail. The book is geared for the busy teacher who needs questions and strategies for leading students through a hands-on approach to understanding math.Proper assessment should take place prior to doing the activities in the book.


T-9015: Pre Algebra and Basic Algebra

Math Center Lesson Plans, Book 3, contains actual lesson plans for integers, area and perimeter, powers and roots via The Magicians Castle story, Pythagorean theorem and the Irrational Spiral, Conic sections using cones, flash lights and calculators, functions and graphs, and algebraic expressions. Word problems are written and dramatized effectively. There are many games for each section that are well explained and the book has an outstanding tool kit of game parts.


T-9030: Foundations of Geometry/Measurement/Logic

This is the fourth and final book in the LESSON-PLAN-SERIES. This fourth book covers: Inductive and Deductive Reasoning, Measurement, Symmetry Tessellations, Solid Geometry, Explorations and Topology.
