These base ten blocks are based the one cubic centimeter unit weighing one gram. The longs are ten centimeters long by one square centimeter and weigh ten grams and so on for the flat. The block (1000) although is a ten centimeters cube does not weigh 1000 grams.

The purple plastic blocks are in thousands, hundreds, tens with units(ones) in white. They are sold in a variety of kits to satisfy almost any class or group size from a single student to an entire classroom.
